"Oh Christmas Tree" @ My Sheri!

Today we have a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and we are hosted by Sue.  She chose the theme "Oh Christmas Tree - make a card for Christmas which must include a tree on it."  I had stamped this tree image several weeks ago and accented it with white glitter glue, then left it laying on my worktable just waiting for a good use.  And this challenge was perfect!

The card base is embossed with a new folder that came with my latest issue of Card Maker magazine.  I cut out the center and glued holographic paper behind it, then popped up the trees on top of that.   A little star and ribbon from my stash and the front is done!

Inside is a sweet stamp from Stampabilities.

I hope you'll head over to My Sheri Crafts, check out the great inspiration there and then join us!  Thanks for stopping by!

My Favorite Colors at Christmas

It's Twisted Thursday time!!!  We are sponsored this week by Stitchie Bear stamps and our theme is "Aything Goes with the Optional Twist of Your Favorite Color at Christmas time"  I LOVE royal blue with white & silver.
I used Stitchie Bear's image "Catch Me" to make my card:

This is a pretty CAS card, but I really like how it turned out.  I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and all the papers are scraps!  The silver swirls are glittered brads from Recollections.   The stamp is a Just Rite stamp.  Inside I used a simple "Merry Christmas" stamp.

I hope you'll head over to The Outlawz Twisted Thursday, check out the other great projects there and enter for a chance at some great prizes!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

A Little Reindeer Tag

Good morning!  I hope you are staying warm 'cause it's cold around here!  I hope this isn't an indication that our whole winter is going to be early, cold and icy.   Well, I guess if it is, I should be able to hide in my craft room a lot!  :)

This week's Tuesday Throwdown challenge theme is to create a tag  and we are sponsored by

A Thankful, Raggedy Pair

It's Twisted Thursday time!!!  We are sponsored this week by Stitchie Bear stamps and our theme is "Aything Goes with the Optional Twist of Be Thankful"
I used Stitchie Bear's image "The Raggedys" to make my card:

Aren't they cute?!  I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and distressed the edges with Tim Holz distress inks.  The flower border is a Cricut cut from Paper Lace.  The sentiment is a Studio G stamp.  That background paper is some I picked up on the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby about 3 years ago in a miscellaneous pack of paper.  Most of the pack was this print and I haven't found very many plaes to use it, but this was a great fit!

Inside is a Stampabilities stamp.

An Outhouse Christmas!

HI!  I'm so excited to be Guest Designer at Love To Create Challenges this week!!!   This week's challenge is Anything Goes and is sponsored by Rick St. Dennis. I was gifted with this ADORABLE image called Outhouse Noel, so I made a fun Christmas card:

I loved these burlap flowers I found at Hobby Lobby.  Apparently they are the store's brand, as I couldn't find any company name on them.  I used some "board" paper, also from HL and cut a chunk of burlap for accent.

Inside, I added a couple of scraps of the burlap to make it look like it goes all the way across.

The sentiment I just typed on my computer.
Isn't that a fun one?!?  I really enjoyed this digi!   "THANK YOU" to the team at Love to Create for the honor of having me as GDT this week and also Thank You to Rick St. Dennis for the image!

Owl as Turkey Thanksgiving Card

Hi!  I hope you all are prepared for the COLD weather that we are expecting this week.  Sounds like a good time to stay in the craft room to me!

It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts today!  Sandy is hosting the challenge this week and she chose a theme of "It's Turkey Time!" - add a Turkey to your card/project."  I recently purchased this cute little Silhouette cut of "Owl Dressed As a Turkey" with this challenge in mind.  I think he's adorable!

I was a little disappointed though, that I couldn't get my machine to cut him out after printing.  I kept getting the message "Registration Failed".  I thought that meant it couldn't read the registration marks because the black ink was getting low, so I put in a new cartridge and the ink was nice and dark, but it still failed.  Any ideas from anyone????  So, I cut him out by hand.  Then I used a black marker around the edge.  I found this scrap of paper in my stash. I don't even know where it came from but I thought it was perfect for him!  I added an oval in a brown, marbled paper (another scrap) to help separate the ginghams a little bit, then popped him up with foam dots.  A little bit of orange burlap braided ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon with 3 brown flower brads and there you go!
I stamped a pretty "Happy Thanksgiving" inside, inked the edges, distressed the front a little with brown and he's ready for the holiday!

Please go over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the great projects there, then join us!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you at MSC!

Moccasin Christmas Card

It's Thursday and that means a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!  We are sponsored this week by
STITCHY BEAR

http://www.stitchybearstamps.com/shop/

Challenges in our Twisted Thursday group are always Anything Goes with an Optional twist!  This week the twist is "Add a Button".

I used their image "Merry Moccasin" to make this card:

The paper is from The Paper Studio, one of their Christmas pads and I embossed it (you have to look pretty close to see it!) with a free embossing folder that came with my last issue of "Card Maker" magazine!  The image had two feathers in it, so instead of coloring them, I glued real feathers over them!  The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers

I popped the image up, to add some dimension, along with the texture from the feathers and 3 metal buttons from my Mom's button box.

I'd love to have you join our Twisted Thursday group at The Outlawz! You do have to become a member to join in the challenges, but it's free and you get welcomed by the designers!  There are new challenges every day of the week and lots of great sponsors and prizes.  Come join in the fun!
